GIOC was founded in 2006 in Lansing MI., by Bishop Mona Reide. The first members were her husband and children. The ministry provides religious and outreach services for residents born in the USA and internationally.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe there is only one true and living God. He is all-knowing and all-powerful. He created the world and everything in it (Genesis 1:1-27, Jeremiah 32:17). That God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself (2 Corinthians 5:19)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only person who can bring humankind back to God. He came to earth Himself, in the person of Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for our sins (John 1:1-3, 14).

We believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. That he was born of a virgin (Luke 1:26-35), lived a sinless life (2 Corinthians 5:21) and died a shameful death on the cross (Hebrews 12:2-4) .

That he shed his blood on the cross at Calvary, as the only payment acceptable to God for our sins, that we might be restored into a perfect relationship with God (Matthew 26:28).

We believe he died, was buried and on the third day, he rose from the dead by the power of God and lives forever more (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 6:8-11; Colossians 2:12).

We believe that you must be born of water and of the spirit (Acts 2:38; John 3:5)
